Hi-Ignition Fit Lab offers both class packages (which are a one-time purchase) or monthly memberships (which auto-renew on the same day each month). We recommend comfortable workout attire as well as INDOOR RUNNING SHOES for personal training as well as our spin and circuit classes. If cycling, avoid loose fitting, long pants that could get caught in pedals.
You should bring a close-topped water bottle, indoor running shoes, a lock, and a towel. We do have towels and locks for rent/purchase at the studio. If you own SPD clip spin shoes, then feel free to use those for our indoor spin classes as well. Everything else will be provided – including mats for yoga/JOGA/circuit/Pilates, microfiber towels for yoga and JOGA, and all equipment needed for the workout.
Our online schedule is available up to two months in advance. We encourage you to sign up for your favourite classes as soon as possible as many classes fill up quickly. In order to sign up for a group fitness class, you must have an active profile with us on Wellness Living as well as at least one active group fitness class credit. Sign up with us on the Hi- Ignition Fit Lab Website or download our app for iPhone or Android. If a class is full, you can still sign up and put yourself on the wait list for that class, and if a spot opens up for you, you will be notified via email/SMS!
We have a 12-hour cancellation policy, meaning you must cancel your class booking with us at least 12 hours in advance of the class start time in order to retain your credit.
If a class is cancelled less than 12 hours before the class start time, your credit will be used as if you had attended the class and your spot will be opened up for another client to take. To cancel your booking with us, just sign into your personal profile via our website or mobile app, click on “My Schedule”, and cancel your booking.
Similar to cancelling a class with less than 12 hours before the class start time, if you fail to show up for a class you’re signed up for without advance notice, you will forfeit the credit used to reserve the class.
As soon a spot has opened up for you in a class and if you are next on the wait list, we will notify you by email and SMS. You must go into the “Wait List Promotion” email and click on the green button that says “I can attend” in order to confirm your spot! If you have made other plans and can no longer attend the class, please remove yourself from the wait list to avoid penalty or cancel your booking.
Yes and No. Each of our amazing group fitness classes has a limited number of spots available, and our classes sometimes fill up in advance! We recommend booking yourself into a class ahead of time to avoid disappointment. However, you are always welcome to drop into the studio for a class and sign up in person, as long as there is space in the class!
Yes! Just ask about it at the studio or purchase a gift card through our online store. You can purchase gift cards in specific dollar amounts or in the amount of a specific class credit package.
Credit packages and memberships can be shared between members of the same household (i.e. family members, roommates, etc.) with proof of the same address. However, outside of these circumstances, class credits are unfortunately not transferable between clients, and each client must have their own account in our system in order to sign up for a group fitness class at the studio.
No, unfortunately we do not offer childcare.
Generally, Hi-Ignition Fit Lab does not offer discounts or promos; however, the cost per class does decrease as you buy larger packages. Sometimes we will offer special promos or discounts which will be offered for a limited time and cannot be paired with any other offer. Participants must be at least 4'11" to ride our bikes safely and at least 12 years old to participate in the other classes. Please note, if you are under 18, your parent or guardian will need to sign a waiver in person.
Stages S3 bikes have several possible adjustments to tailor the bike to your body and comfort level:
- Raise/Lower the seat height.
- Raise/Lower the handlebar height.
- Increase/decrease the distance between the handlebars and seat.
Hi-Ignition classes are challenging because they work. Most classes are suitable for any fitness level and appropriate modifications will be provided by the instructors. Always let instructors know if you need specific alternatives or have limitations due to injury or pain. All instructors will encourage you while insisting you listen to your body. Contact us any time for specific class recommendations.
From time to time, we will offer beginner classes. But if we're not offering beginner classes when you're looking to participate - don't worry! We have new participants in almost every Hi-Ignition group fitness class and our instructors are highly trained to offer modifications for every fitness level.
We ride on Stages S3 indoor bikes with the best consoles in the cycling world, which allow you to track your stats during your ride, including RPM, speed, distance, calorie burn, watts, and more! We ride to the beat of the music and incorporate measurable statistics in every class.
It depends on the weight of the individual and the amount of exertion used. Research indicates that on average, indoor cyclists burn between 400-700 calories in a 45-minute workout. Our metrics on our Stages S3 will help you determine how hard you’re working and help you set goals as your fitness level increases.
Many pregnant women are able to exercise right up until their due date, but we recommend you check with your doctor before participating.
As a beginner, the bike and bike seat require a little getting used to. During this phase, it sometimes helps to wear padded bike shorts or use a cushioned gel seat. The more often you ride, the more you will get accustomed to the bike seat and will get more comfortable.
Cycling shoes offer a more secure position in the pedals enabling the cyclist to work much more efficiently. Pedal strokes become more powerful and allow you to target the correct muscle groups. Only SPD clip shoes will clip into our indoor spin bike pedals, so be sure to ask for this style of clip when shoe shopping! (it may differ from clips used on outdoor racing bikes or mountain bikes).
